The vehicle has undergone a major restoration / overhaul over the last 18 months, which has included chassis, electrical and mechanical work. The work carried out and parts replaced are as follows: Chassis New rear cross member and rear tub rail, repaired out riggers, steam cleaned and fully waxoyled inside and under-sealed outside, fuel tank guard and retaining strap replaced, various components blasted and repainted with oxide primer and black Hammerite top coat. Bodywork Rear door replaced, new passenger door bottom section, both side doors re-lined with waterproof membrane, new side door latches and lock barrels, new side door window channels and seals, window winding mechanisms cleaned and lubricated, side and rear door seals replaced, new windscreen and seal, various panel joints and fittings resealed, corroded paintwork treated and repainted. Side steps / running boards fitted. Slight dent in upper left hand rear corner panel. Interior Seats replaced with reasonable condition Techno cloth seats x3, floor and bulkhead foot-wells insulated with 8mm closed cell foam sound insulation, headlining recovered, rear bulkhead covered with carpet / sound insulation, Parrot Bluetooth hands free telephone kit installed, infrared rear view camera installed with 7” colour screen, VDO Ayton AM/FM radio and CD player with 2x 220w loudspeakers, rear loading space lined with 10mm plywood and chequer plate floor, storage compartment to left hand side. Front Axle Swivels and seals, CV joints, wheel bearings and seals, drive flanges and end caps, needle roller bearings, top and bottom swivel roller bearings, prop shaft cross pieces, diff pinion seal, and diff oil. Various components blasted and repainted. Rear Axle Salisbury type differential overhauled with new bearings, seals and collapsible spacer, re shimmed, gear backlash and dye pattern checked, filled with new oil. Wheel bearings and seals, drive flanges and half-shafts replaced. Gearbox and transfer box Gearbox dismantled, internal oil filter and rear output shaft bearing replaced, reassembled with new gaskets, shaft seals and selector bush and repainted. Gear lever detent springs setup. Transfer box overhauled with new intermediate shaft bearings and collapsible spacer, new output shaft bearings, new speedo drive sprocket and new shaft seals. Both filled with new oil. Rubber mounts replaced. Parking brake overhauled with new shoes. Engine Oil pump drive sprocket bolt refitted with Loctite, front and rear crankshaft oil seals replaced, new crankshaft pulley/damper and securing bolt, fan pulley bearing, belt guide wheels, automatic belt tensioner, injector wiring loom, fuel pressure regulator, power steering pump, water pump, thermostat, alternator, vacuum pump, rocker cover gasket and sump gasket replaced. New oil filters and Castrol Magnatec 5w30 oil. High flow air filter fitted. EGR blanking kit fitted, inlet manifold cleaned out. New mass air flow sensor. Clutch Solid flywheel conversion, new conventional clutch fitted with new release bearing, clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, pipe and hose replaced. Cooling system Radiator replaced new heater matrix, new uprated intercooler, new gearbox oil cooler, silicone air hoses fitted. Cooling system filled with distilled water and coolant mix. Fuel system Fuel filter housing and filter replaced, new fuel pump seal and retaining ring. Fuel tank removed, cleaned out, pressure tested and refitted, new fuel filler hose and grommet. Exhaust system Complete exhaust system has been replaced with 304 stainless steel front and silencer replacement mid-sections, standard rear section. Wheels and tyres All five tyres are General Grabber 235/85 R16 fitted to 8 spoke steel wheels repainted with white Hammerite. The front tyres are almost new and there is good tread on the rear tyres and the spare. Towing Rear adjustable height tow bar fitted with rear step, front tow bar fitted to bumper. Both tow bars are a standard 50 mm ball and the towing capacity is 3.5 tonnes. Mechanical equipment types Engine, Td5 prefixes 10P. Gearbox, R380 prefixes 58A. Transfer box, LT 230. Mileage, Tax and MOT Since a majority of this work was carried out the vehicle has covered approximately 3000 miles. Since the intercooler, gearbox oil cooler, camera and headlining was done, the vehicle has covered approximately 700 miles. The present mileage is 151559 and vehicle is very rarely used, so the chances of the mileage increasing are very slim. The MOT is valid until October 2014, and the tax is valid until 31st May 2014.
